KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervision & Training: Oversee line cooks, delegate tasks, ensure proper performance, and assist in training new staff on recipes, techniques, and standards. Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients (chopping, marinating) and cook dishes (soups, meats, sauces, desserts) according to recipes, ensuring quality, portion control, and presentation. Kitchen Operations: Manage opening/closing duties, stock workstations, monitor inventory, rotate stock, and handle food orders. Quality & Safety: Maintain high standards for food freshness, sanitation, and safety (HACCP), keeping work areas clean and organized. Leadership: Serve as the point person for shift-related questions, manage kitchen flow, and coordinate with front-of-house staff. Problem-Solving: Address issues in real-time, solve problems, and make decisions to keep the kitchen running efficiently.
