Job Overview Restaurant Nikala is seeking a friendly, attentive, and professional Server to join our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate has a passion for food and hospitality, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Experience with the Toast POS system is strongly preferred. This role offers an opportunity to work in a welcoming, high-quality dining setting focused on authentic cuisine and outstanding service. Duties Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Toast POS system Provide knowledgeable menu recommendations and upsell items to enhance the guest experience Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on tables regularly and responding promptly to requests Handle cash and card transactions accurately, including cashiering responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations. Assist with light food preparation or kitchen support as needed Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines at all times Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily restaurant operations Experience & Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred Experience with or ability to quickly learn the Toast POS system is highly preferred Experience in full-service or fine-casual dining is a plus Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to perform basic math for payments and order accuracy Experience in bussing, hosting, or food preparation is an advantage Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tables during busy hours This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, take pride in their work, and enjoy creating warm, memorable dining experiences for guests at Restaurant Nikala.
