Grill Cook / Prep Cook — The Old Gin Can you run a grill, stay sharp during a rush, and take pride in every plate you send out? The Old Gin is looking for a dependable cook to join our kitchen team in Wortham. We’re a busy restaurant where prep, timing, and teamwork make all the difference. You’ll help get the kitchen ready for service, cook to our recipes and standards, and work alongside a team that counts on each other when things get moving. What you’ll do Prep ingredients and set up your station for a smooth service Cook and plate menu items with consistent quality and portions Keep pace during busy shifts while communicating with the rest of the kitchen Use grills, fryers, ovens, and other equipment safely Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized Follow food safety procedures and let the kitchen manager know when supplies are running low You’ll be a great fit if you: Have restaurant kitchen experience, especially on a grill or busy line Show up ready to work and take ownership of your station Can follow recipes, manage several tickets, and stay calm under pressure Care about good food, clean work, and helping your teammates succeed Interested?
